Solibri-ARCHICAD 21 link provides 'Best in Class' quality assurance for ARCHICAD users
HELSINKI, February 22, 2018 – ARCHICAD users can now fully benefit from the latest update of Solibri's unique software extension that provides a link between ArchiCAD and Solibri Model Checker (SMC).
"With this link, our joint customers will benefit from a best-in-class design quality assurance workflow, allowing them to detect design errors well in advance, correcting those before generating costly errors on construction sites," said Péter Temesvári, Director of Product Management, GRAPHISOFT
The software allows exchange of both complete BIM models and partial updates in a real-time design scenario. In addition to the highly reliable "offline" IFC model exchange, this "live" link enables real-time information exchange. Simply design, check and change/amend as necessary. With just a few clicks, ARCHICAD users can export the BIM model into Solibri Model Checker and, after a rule-based model check, can then highlight issues in ARCHICAD.
"Clients are asking for useful and reliable information to be used for design coordination, cost estimations, energy analysis, etc. This is what interoperability with BIM is all about," said Heikki Kulusjärvi, Solibri CEO. "At best, this is handled by the designers themselves before publishing the designs. This extension is a good example of that and our commitment to supporting the best Quality Assurance for ARCHICAD users. All current versions from ARCHICAD V16 on are supported," he added.
