Hi BIM Wizards!
ArchiCAD 18 News Update courtesy of Andor Szoke, Graphisoft HQ - Customer Support Grp.
On Mac OS PDF’s saved by ArchiCAD 18 will be printed by Adobe Acrobat Reader with collapsed text strings even though texts look good in Acrobat Reader itself.
MAC’s built in Preview app will print the PDF’s correctly. One can work-around the problem by changing
a Preference key in com.graphisoft.AC-64 18.0.0
<language code> v1.plist file. These are the detailed steps for changing the key:
1. Quit ArchiCAD 18.
2. Run PrefSetter application to unzip it. If you don’t have PrefSetter application yet, you can download it from here: http://www.macupdate.com/appnew/mac/17002/pref-setter
Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/com.graphisoft AC-64 18.0.0
<language code> v1.plist file.
4. Scroll down in the page until you see
PDF in the left column. Click the arrow next to it to expand. Please note that this key only exists if you have already saved or published at least one PDF from ArchiCAD.
5. Change the
Font Subsetting key to false, by clicking on the value of the key. Then go to
File>Save in the
6. Close PrefSetter.
7. Start ArchiCAD and publish PDF(s). Print the created PDF(s) from within Adobe Acrobat Reader.
We will get back to you with more information on this problem as soon as possible.
